Welcome to the 11th Deaf Fest! The NJDAW Board of Trustees is
pleased to be hosting the 11th Deaf Fest on Sunday, September 18,
2011 at the Middlesex County Fairgrounds in East Brunswick, New
Jersey with free admission, parking, entertainment, and activities
for the children.
The purpose of Deaf Fest, a Cultural Celebration, is to promote
awareness and education among the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deaf-Blind
and Hearing communities.
We are looking forward to having all of you join us along with
several agencies, companies and non-profit organizations as they
exhibit their information and products. Some vendors will sell
homemade products. This year, the family entertainment will be
presented by Deaf-talented performers including Don Lee Hanaumi and
The Dynamic Bro Duo, performed by Willy & Rex Moers. There will be a plenty of food vendors, exhibits
and activities all day long, especially for the children at Bonnie’s
Kiddie Korner. This event is sponsored by the Northwest Jersey
Association for the Deaf (NWJAD). Kiddie Korner starts from twelve
noon to three pm.
The planning and preparation for Deaf Fest 2011 is truly a huge
task. We extend our thanks to the committee, volunteers and friends
for continuing their hard work and contributions.
We also want to give a special thanks to NJ Division of the Deaf and
Hard of Hearing for their ongoing support in providing communication
access at the fest. Many thanks to Northwest Jersey Association of
the Deaf (NWJAD) for sponsoring and planning Kiddie Korner at every
Deaf Fest event since 1994.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you there on September 18th
from 10am to 5 pm and we know you will come away with wonderful
memories.
